Modern workplaces are evolving fast. Hybrid working, employee wellbeing and sustainability targets are reshaping how architects and designers think about space.

One clear symbol of this work revolution is the ‘tech wall’ of smart lockers. Functional and adaptable, these tech walls are leading the way in team collaboration and frictionless working.

But what about those companies that aren’t ready for that kind of investment? Or the companies that simply can’t justify jettisoning all their existing stuff for a shiny new way of working? That’s where ECHO smart locks change everything.

The Smart Money is on ECHO

ECHO lock isn’t just another smart locker system; it’s a retrofit champion. It gives architects and designers the ability to turn existing storage into a fully functioning smart system without rewiring, Wi-Fi or large-scale refits.
In less than three minutes, a traditional camlock locker can be upgraded to a secure, app-controlled storage solution – complete with mobile and web-based management.

Discover ECHO: a smart locker smart lock system.

Repurpose not Replace

ECHO gives designers the freedom to use existing lockers when redesigning buildings.
No need to scrap perfectly good wood and metal units. ECHO fits directly into the same 16:19 (double D) camlock space used by most lockers.

That means existing furniture can be reused rather than replaced. It’s a simple shift that prevents waste, reduces cost and supports the circular economy. Thanks to a single- point fixing, ECHO can even be used with locker doors up to 24mm thick. Proof that sustainability doesn’t always have to come at a premium.

Battery-free NFC

Unlike most smart locker solutions, ECHO doesn’t use batteries, it uses NFC technology. That’s the tech you use when you make a contactless payment with your bank card or smartphone.

ECHO draws a tiny charge from your mobile phone to lock and unlock itself. And when we say tiny, we mean tiny – way less than 1% of your phone charge. What’s more, as there’s no single-use battery in an ECHO, there’s no battery waste or pollution, either.

Designed for How People Really Work

Flexibility isn’t just about how a space looks, it’s about how people interact with it.

That’s why ECHO lets people use the lockers in three different way modes, set by an admin. In Public mode, anyone can use a lock. In Public Registered Mode, any registered user can use the lock. While in Private Mode, users can be allocated a locker that’s purely for them.

For administrators, mobile and cloud-based management provides complete oversight. Admin can name each lock for recognition and even list where it is – either by building or floor.

What’s more, it can all be done under the tightest of security using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). Intuitive, efficient and future-ready, ECHO is ready to grow with you and your business.

Sustainable to the Core

ECHO even ticks all the boxes when it comes to sustainability. Our core components of casing, handle, PCB and lock barrel are made in our own UK-based factory.

In fact, ECHO is so sustainably made it even contributes towards our own sustainability goals, helping us hit 100% renewable electricity and phase out single-use plastics by 2030.

Standard or Pro?

Different needs demand different solutions. That’s why our ECHO web portal comes in either a Standard or Pro version. Our specialists are happy to advise on what’s right for you.

In a workplace landscape that is constantly changing, ECHO unlocks so many possibilities – because sometimes, the best way to move forward is to simply unlock what you already have.
