The Archives Nationales are the national archives of France, they preserve and house one of the largest and oldest archival collections in the world. To deal with the massive volume of documents they currently operate from two sites in Paris – the Medieval Marais district and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine.
The site at Pierrefitte-sur-Seine identified a requirement for storage lockers to be available for use by any person visiting the archives. The lockers had to be easy to use and had to ensure the safety of personal items stored within them.
